Boiler inspection with drone
We carry out drone inspections in boilers and kilns at CHP plants, incinerators, cement factories and more.

New approach to boiler/furnace inspection
Our drone inspection solution is an innovative way to perform condition checks at power plants and incinerators. With our drone, we can easily and quickly fly into the large furnaces and get close to areas that were previously only accessible with large scaffolding.

Always the right solution
Drone inspection in boilers
When we do a boiler inspection with a drone, it requires first and foremost the right equipment, but not least the right knowledge. The drones we use for this task are designed to fly and navigate in confined spaces. It does not fly on GPS signal like regular drones, but instead relies on its many sensors to maintain stability in even the harshest environments. The drone is equipped with a safety grid, full LED lighting, a 4K camera and a 3D LiDAR scanner.
We have many years of experience with drone inspection in boilers, and have flown in all the large and small furnaces in Denmark. This has given us a lot of knowledge in the field, which our drone operators bring with them when we are out doing an inspection.

Interactive boiler inspection report
At Drone Eksperten, you don’t just get flying. We are a full-service house and deliver an easy-to-understand and usable inspection report. Our inspection report is delivered in a cloud solution and is designed to make it easy to implement the points of attention we find.
Our report is delivered as a 3D model of the boiler on one side and video footage on the other. When you start the video, you will see the drone move around the 3D model according to where it is in the video. This way we easily map damage and other incidents in our reporting system. We can pin points of attention with comments and then you will be able to click around the 3D model and see the exact position. It’s easy, simple and super useful.

Book a demo flight
Are you unsure whether a drone inspection of your facility’s boiler/furnace creates value? Then we do demo days where we come out and fly as much as possible at your facility. This makes a lot of sense in connection with audits.
We usually fly the boiler, flues, scrubbers, chimney and other relevant elements of the plant.
Are you responsible for the operation or maintenance of a CHP unit or incineration facility? We would be happy to have a non-binding talk about the possibilities in your facility.
Frequently asked questions
What are the benefits of using a drone for boiler inspection?
Drone inspection makes it possible to inspect boilers and furnaces quickly and safely without the need for scaffolding or manual access. This saves time, reduces costs and eliminates risk to employees.
How does drone inspection in a boiler work?
Our specially designed drone flies inside the boiler using advanced sensors, as GPS signals do not work in enclosed spaces. It is equipped with a 4K camera, LED lighting and a 3D LiDAR scanner so we can provide accurate inspection data.
What data and reports do we get after a boiler inspection?
After the inspection, we provide an interactive report where you can view a 3D model of the boiler combined with video footage. The report makes it easy to identify damage and points of attention, and you can navigate directly in the model.
Can a drone inspection replace a traditional manual inspection?
Yes, in many cases it can. The drone can reach hard-to-reach places without requiring scaffolding or downtime. If critical damage is detected, a manual inspection may still be necessary as a follow-up.
How long does a typical drone inspection take?
The duration depends on the size and complexity of the plant, but a boiler inspection can often be completed in a few hours, which is much faster than traditional methods.
Can we get a sample inspection to assess the value?
We offer demo days at a demo price where we perform inspections of several areas of your facility. This gives you a good insight into the value of drone inspections, especially for audits.
