Boiler inspection at Kredsløb – Safety and efficiency at the top of the boiler

At Kredsløb in Lisbjerg (north of Aarhus, Denmark), we at Drone Eksperten had the pleasure of assisting with a drone inspection of one of the plant’s four furnace lines. Kredsløb operates a modern waste-to-energy facility where operational reliability and maintenance play a crucial role in daily energy production.

In collaboration with Kanadevia Inova, we carried out a visual inspection inside the boiler using our Elios 3 drone – a specialized indoor drone that makes it possible to inspect hard-to-reach areas without exposing personnel to unnecessary risk.

Safety and savings hand in hand

Traditionally, inspecting a waste incineration boiler requires scaffolding and manual access inside the unit. This method is both time-consuming, costly, and potentially dangerous. With drone inspection, Kredsløb was able to completely eliminate the need for scaffolding while obtaining a detailed visual overview of the boiler’s condition – all without anyone having to step inside.

A strong collaboration with Kanadevia Inova

The data and video material from the inspection are delivered to Kanadevia Inova, who prepare a technical report focused on maintenance, operational optimization, and spare part planning.
The collaboration between Kredsløb, Kanadevia Inova, and Drone Eksperten demonstrates how modern drone technology combines safety, efficiency, and economic benefits.
